Spring Of Love

Robert Isaacs Chiwala

I have walked in dry land

Throat burning like a thirsty donkey

Hoping to find a swampy around

To soothe my arising desire

I have wondered in rain

Looking for a smiling sun

Hoping to bask a little

To dry my wet clothes

I have strode in cloudy cold wind weather

Thinking of hot coffee

Hoping to heat myself from cold

To feel the warmth and comfort

I have trailed in frost

Bitten by frostbite

Hoping to find a campfire just near

To chase the chill away of me

I have searched for spring of love

Wishing to quench my thirst

Hoping to find a fountain of pure spring waters

To console my thirsty of chastity

    dear poet
did you ever consider, as you searched
    from one change of weather
    to another
    between the breeze, that foreshadows
    a change in weather
    maybe, you
    and we, all
were too busy to hear, that whisper
guiding us, asking us to wait
    stay
    because love, itself
is on its way, to us...
    lol
(have you seen a film called
    'sliding doors'
    if not, check it out
    the theme of your poem
is so in sync, with the films
    theme)
    again, another lovely read
    thank you! dear Poet
