Before

FallingAwake2

You tie me up when I lay down,

So I still can’t sleep in a bed.

Not bad enough for the gown,

Still whirlwinds blow in my head.

Thoughts have me feeling alone,

So I’m knocking at every door.

I’m still out searching for a home,

When all I want is what was before.
