Just a Dream

MendedFences27

Just a dream:

A Dream that recurs often and forever.

A dream - of peace in a warlike world

of nations that remain neutral

of leaders without self-interest

of scientists who will not invent weapons

of soldiers who refuse to fight

of religions that believe what they say

of charities that accomplish their goals

of lawmakers who make laws.

of judges that are impartial

of educators who teach

of journalists who report the news

of understanding between misguided folks.

I'm with you Phil & truly sir ... Amen

  • Fay Slimm.

Sad to read of so many establishments in need of re-hashing. - -true Phil those areas which should be aware are blindly riddled with uncaring greed so change of attitudes still seems a dream - - but who knows what tomorrow may bring ?

    Great read

Dream on, Phil – someone has to…..and indeed there remains a residue…no, that’s unfair. Much honesty good will and altruism do exist in the world but seem outweighed by the power and corruption you cite. I suppose individuals can only try to change those elements within their reach locally.
I’d be lying, however, if I tried to claim I had a more optimistic view of the world that the picture you paint.
    Good write. Thanks.
