Walking in the sunshine thinking of corny rappers who can't rhyme

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

What a lovely day, walking in the sunshine
The way the media go on about the weather
You'd think it was a crime
Catch the sun raise and vitamin c
Take that mask off in the fresh air
See the squirrels and bees
Catch me out walking
No matter the degrees
Usually in a vest and shorts
Don't start or feel the wrath of my retorts
Is air really fresh?
I just smell smoke
What a mess
Bombs getting dropped
Ripping off the flesh
Will it ever stop?
Ask the ones ontop
In my comfy Nike's
Feels like I'm walking on clouds
Readjusting my life
I'm through with chasing pounds
The higher you get
The more your soul will split
I write these rhymes but no new corny rapper
I don't spit
Would rather let my words speak for themselves
These motherfucker mumblers shooting blank shells
Who wrote your lyrics?
That shit giving off nothing but bad smells

    'Is air really fresh?
    I just smell smoke'..
    indeed, they've
    even put a premium
    on clean, air
    soon, aside our fruits
    they'll be selling us
    back, our fresh oxygen
    and
    some kid
    'will be reading the ingredients
    and expiry dates, asking
    how they make that...?'
    (insightful commentary
a great read, thanks for sharing
    dear poet)
