Waiting

That quiet girl

I'm tired of waiting

for a doctor to mend my broken heart,

to stitch up yet another tear in my soul,

I'm tired of waiting

for someone to hold me close,

to wipe the tears from my face,

to make my emptiness feel whole,

I'm tired of waiting

to feel loved

I think it's time that I love myself.
