To turn dark
Fill with hate
Suddenly
So envious
Of one and all
And they will pay
To give them malice
To relish their pain
To feel victory
For it is just
Spare not the cost
Neither the peace
And be lost
In selfish
Jealousy
To turn dark
Fill with hate
Suddenly
So envious
Of one and all
And they will pay
To give them malice
To relish their pain
To feel victory
For it is just
Spare not the cost
Neither the peace
And be lost
In selfish
Jealousy

yeah, well
we kinda all fall victim to such failings
at some point;
especially in our younger
more vehemently, impassioned
versions of ourselves..
the distinction, exists in what we do
during these brief spells of mindless
enraged, states..
we can imagine the worst of horrors
and as long as they remain, mere
imaginations
then we can survive, without accruing
too much consequence, but
if we shed our chords to self-control
well...
that sad story
we all know, already!
(a really interesting topic and theme
thanks for sharing, dear poet)
