Thoughts 9
Thanks to the James Webb
we can see farther than ever before.
Then, isn't it time to goggle-eye
the guy next door?
You never know who might be
an escapee from Tennessee.
Who’s the guy
that just bought an AR-15
to go with his methamphetamine?
Your neighbor’s probably an alien
or worse yet a Democrat.
Think of that!
Why is it called Populism
If it has but a few members?
Russia invades Ukraine
and there is no jail
for Putin to be put in.
Xi’s China is too breakable.
Abortion- you can keep it.
In San Fran they’re smoking grass.
In North Korea they’re eating it.
If Jan 6 was a tourist’s tour
then Jun 6 must have been
a day at the beach.
If you keep children together for a while
they’ll make friends
but a bunch of adults
they’ll make enemies
He played his trump card
and buried her behind the first hole tee
and I ain’t going there.
I never Metaverse I didn’t like.
Do we really need to listen to the
referee’s repartee?
What ever happened to the Killer Bees, Honey?
How come, when I make green tea, it’s brown?
Is an autobiography the life of a car?
Shepherd's Pie vs. Cottage Pie -
What happens if the shepherd lives in a cottage?

The agony of it all, Phil.....
I like to keep myself to myself....so now I'm just wondering....could that bloke next door be a guy from Tennessee???
Underlying the humour, you make a serious point - It drives me quietly nuts when I hear some commentator extol the virtues of colonising Mars....
Matters arising:
Are we all going?
Having stuffed up this planet....
Thanks, Dave, for your comments. I doubt we all can get to Mars, maybe a small group of ten or so could survive there but would soon die off once this planet dies. It's crazy to think of Space travel. Even at the speed of light, any habitable planet is too far away. Earth is all we have, and right now it needs saving.
Got that right, Phil. Billions of stars in our galaxy, billions of galaxies in our universe alone. Planets in 'Goldilocks Zone'? You can bet many. Intelligent life elsewhere? Goes without saying. So what?
This Earth is all we have, and the rest of the universe will be minding it's own business too. (Forget visits by aliens in flying saucers also)
so acute in your insightful commentary
what a wide lensed, scope
you view life with..
a fun read! dear Poet
'I never Metaverse I didn’t like.'
me neither, especially
if it's meta in theme..
Thanks L.B. for your comments. Glad you thought my joke was "a cute" one. You never know what you'll meet in the Metaverse.
lol
