Love Again

Robert Isaacs Chiwala

Would love to be alone for a while

I want a space to breathe

Fresh air less of violence odours

I mean no heart breaking tortures

Heartstrings are so tender

If pulled beyond their stretchy

They strain even tearing apart

Such an emotion pain is the worst

I wanted to go through this pain

Such feeling can make some magic healing

Stitching the strings back together

So my heart can start to beat over

Before I can love again

I need to be on my both feet again

Before I can trust another heart

I need a space to heal first

You know love always promise sweetness

There is none that promises sadness

Fake happiness that hide in smile's flare

Such hatred hurt it can snare

I need time before I can love again

To heal and develop trust in love again

Before I can even think of giving my heart

Before I can think of hooking another's heart

I think you are pushing hard don't be cunning

I know you are fascinated by my looks

Love should be understanding for certain

I just need some time to love again

    totally agree!
this speaks to that the biggest lie
    people tell themselves about love
    the one , where
'Love' is a tool, to help them feel
    better
    and find that centred
    serene, wholeness or completeness
    in their life..
expecting, their partners to be magical workers
    who arrive complete, as perfect
    half's of existence's puzzle
    when
    we/they themselves, enter
    into a 'mutually' loving relationship
    as a complete emotional, wreck
    then wonder, why
it never seems to work out...
    love, at its core
is a trade, or an exchange
if you can't carry, your half of the weight
then you must have a plan, in place
    or else
once all that chemistry flame and
    passion
die down, it will all be dying embers
    all over again...
    (in my humble, yet opinionated
    opinion)
    lol
