Mirror to Death

transprodigalson

Sometimes I think

Of how beautiful I could be,

Just lying there -

Face cold and bare -

Never having another care,

While everyone feels my despair.

    couldn't help relating
to your honesty and bravery, dear poet
succinctly written and devoid of unnecessary, dramatics
reads like raw emotionality, reaching out
    through a canvas, inked
    with a trace of hope..
    forgive me
your words inspired me to scribble a little reply:
    (indeed, that 'great perhaps'
    of utter nothingness, where
    musical melodies, serenade
    in that serene silence
    of unmistakeable, stillness
there is romance in that imagery
    in that, blank nothingness
but such thoughts are often born
    of our selfish mood swings
where all is 'woe is me' convenient
    see, in actuality
    we know, already
    that somewhere, someplace
    someone is enduring
    hundred times, a harder life
    much worse, than we are
    and is still, smiling bravely
    for those mere handful few
    that may be sad
    to wave that final goodbye...)
