I place my trust in you
My faith is deep and true
O God, my only Lord
Don’t cut the umbilical cord

(even devoid of theological alignment
there is something very human
you've depicted
within words of such brevity;
that aspect of internal struggle
between, that
we choose to place our faith in
and that, belated realisation
that we are never guaranteed
anything back, in return or reply
we
merely hope and pray
choosing to believe
this time, our despair
will be answered...)
this is so well written
thanks for sharing, dear Poet
thank you so much for finding the hidden meaning too. one can only trust blindly, knowing that this source is our final hope - when all others forsake us.
have a good day, take care
my mum and i have been discussing this over coffee in the kitchen this morning - thank you for something so brief yet so perfectly sweet!
my thanks to you and your mom for your appreciation
have a good day
