A MEMORY IN THE MIRROR

Shruti64

In the class

not focusing and just staring the glass,

because a reflection is there,

about which I care.

In this mob only this reflection sparks

I noticed the eyes which are dark,

as addictive as inviting.

It is too late to conceal,

feelings like a storm-hard to cease

this is just a reflection

turning into attraction.

An attraction-hard to resist

your image in my brain-always persist.

With you I want a never ending talk

besides you a walk.

Suddenly I was interrupted

"What are you doing?" a voice said

I looked there,I was distracted

the selection is not there anymore

"wish I could see that again" my heart said.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This poem is about a girl sitting in the classroom. She stares at the window of her classroom because there is a reflection of her crush. You can see her thoughts while staring at him in his reflection in this poem. At last her thoughts are interrupted by her teacher and when she looked back at the reflection he was not there anymore and he had just become her memory in the mirror.

    your poetry needs no explanation
if people don't understand, that's their problem
