Lost Dreams

jazzwa30

Lost dreams are like fireflies

They light up when you catch them

As kids we are excited to catch them

Then as adults we lose interest

Many fireflies fly around at night

All of them are like lost dreams hoping to be caught

Your metaphor is beautiful. I make a habit of going outside, right before I go to bed, and have the privilege of seeing a multitude of fireflies in the woods behind our house. I'll think of your poem tonight and every night. Thank You!
