Scars Of Yesterday

Robert Isaacs Chiwala

There are healing marks on my heart

The bruises I suffered a while ago

Left deep impression that will forever remain

Sometimes situation uncovers such depression

Scars of yesterday are erased

In your arms I forgot everything

All the pains I went through in the past

No longer haunts me any more

I think I'm happy in this match

Scars are lightening up soon be gone

Before long I shall look as spotless

No dark memories will ever remain

                    *******

Scars of yesterday are failing to fade

Everytime I go out I came back scratched

Nursing the same previous wound now new

Fresh haunting and covered in blood

This unbearable pain will it cease?

The heart is hurting and breaking

My mind goes wild my thoughts nasty

I categorise love haters and all the same

Scars of yesterday turn into fresh wound

Nursing the same wound over again

The pain that spread deep in

Eluding hot tears to flow down
