Inspire Me

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

Small things inspire me
Although not much at all
Are you living the dream
Or hitting a brick wall?
There is good people left
Few and far between
I've never understood
The one's who take anger out on others
Think what you're doing
Mothers and Brothers, Sisters and Lovers
I thought we were all human
Racism and Sexism still exist
I wish they were tangible
I'd grab them
Throw them out into the mist
Are we all truly happy?
Are we all truly free?
Do you show your true emotions
Or bottle them in so we can't see
Are you driven by money?
The material things?
Advertisements like a virus
You bleeding currency like a stabbed iris
I really couldn't care less about them things anymore
I remember leaving all my belongings on the green grass floor

    insightful commentary, as-ever
    dear Poet, but
    I can't help feeling
    like I'm missing your poetry..
    (a cheeky sod
    aren't I..
    forgive me, if you can)
    lol
