Why Do I Write?

Accidental Poet

Why do I write?

An odd question to ask

But that’s the ocean

In which I bask

Strange notions teasing my mind

Places I’ve never been before

Thinking outside the box

What’s behind that door?

Looking within

Turn around and look out

Future bumps into the past

Wonder what it’s all about

Life is a mystery

Everyone knows it’s true

Look for the signs

Follow the clues

Where you end up

And where you came from

All under a spacious sky

The rising Moon and Sun

Such true words AP, all those ideas and thoughts that come to us must go into words.

I am quite sure both scribes n scribblers ask themselves the same question and most probably, time and time again ... I think by nature we are reflectors .. which gives rise to a further why of course ... I am glad I found these words today AP .. in a way, they have proved to be somewhat reassuring ........... I would have to agree N, we are all reflectors. Glad you found this of interest and reassuring. Thanks for your positive visit. 👍
