Map of Pain

jenny.g

On the map of pain throughout my life

There are purple bruises shaped like fingers around my throat

Delivered with whispered words of distrust in midnight hours made for love

On the map of pain throughout my life

There is a broken wrist

Snapped like twigs by my protector Stealing my creativity and my ability to express

On the map of pain throughout my life

There is a cancer growing within me

Stealing my future children and the abundance of love I have to give

On the map of pain throughout my life

There is a shattered foot

Crushed and twisted

Taking with it my fierce independence and freedom

On the map of pain throughout my life

You

My friend

Are just a paper cut.

Tough one, and a tough message for anyone starting a relationship. Get them checked out and save yourself the future pain and misery.

Thanks Paul. Based on past experiences, lessons have well and truly been learnt. Present and future people only get a paper cut.

This is very moving and very powerful. It speaks of your strength and will. You are a survivor
