Satuit

Accidental Poet

 Black and white fur

Ears on full alert

Four paws pounce

With our hearts you flirt

We named you Satuit

After a word of native American Indian

From the Wampanoag tribe where

My home town Scituate came into being

Barely three months old

A bouncing bundle of joy

Stealing hearts at every turn

That’s my boy

You don’t ask for much

Under the sky above

Just hours of playtime

And to be loved

And who are we to argue

With a Siberian Husky pup

Our hearts are yours and

Everything else if that’s not enough

You’ll mature into an adult dog

A proud companion

As we are to you

Our heart’s champion
