Tune: Serenity
('Immortal love, for ever full')
Matthew 16 v.21-23
*******
Jesus did His disciples show
They of Him then did know
How unto Jerusalem He
Must go, so would it be
And suffer many things when there
Chief priests, elders would share
Even in killing him, but He
Raised the third day would be
Then Peter took Him aside, said
No, no, you be misled
He rebuked Jesus, saying, Be
This far from you, now see
Lord, this shall not be unto you
Take less suffering path, do
But Jess turned to Peter, He
Said, Get you behind me
For Satan seeks to me distract
To make a comfort-pact
But it is an offence to me
Your words human thoughts be
Of the things of God be mindful
They not be meek, mild all
In His plan I the way of cross
Must go, redeem man's loss

Oh the distractions, specially on Sunday morning! To be mindful when the mind is full of other not necessarily detrimental or destructive but derailing things. Like blessings, evil can come in both small and big packages. Lol. Blessed Sunday to you!
Thanks CB.
