(I love speaking to the real elderly
85 plus
and still seeing that twinkle of mischief
and fun in their eyes, it reassures me
there's more to life than
what our eyes can see and our senses, can feel..)
this is a wonderfully encouraging message
especially, since modernity
has embarrassingly
decided, to pretend that the elderly
are no longer a societal issue...
...
indeed, after a certain age
we're either side of a decade
nearer, to that wisdom we seek!
thank you! dear Poet
Indeed, and the demarcation line keeps moving on us and when we think we have arrived it has yet moved again. My grandmother, bless her, always said that in those years the way to live is to age gracefully and with dignity.
