Peregrination

Eugene S.

If you accept a concept
Do you become subject to it
Does fantasy become your home
Or does fantasy become real

When you are cast from there
Are you no longer subject to it
Does reality become your new home
In your moments of despair

What if you belong to neither
Subject to nothing at all
Now there is a place to reside
Where worlds no longer care

    'If you accept a concept
Do you become subject to it'
    only if we allow it
    to blinker, our awareness...
    when
    we observe
    that contrasting duality
is a common theme of our everyday reality
    we realise, trying to believe
in one thing, alone - stubbornly
is a frail scaffolding to frame
    our foundations of life...
even if that one thing is nihilism's
    oh so convenient, nothingness!
    life is tough, whichever way
    you traverse it..
    (my 2 cents worth
    of over opinionated, opinion
    forgive me
    lol)
    thanks for sharing, dear Poet
    a wonderfully thought provoking poem

You so thoroughly dive in to the words. I do appreciate! This is my thoughts as a castaway and an outsider, if such things can truly be.
