This is how I feel

Reminiscing on the times when I was bold enough to kiss you innocently on the face. Burning within me is a compelling desire to set my passionate fire ablaze. Just as intense as a level four heat wave the affection, I have for you is hot like summer day. Beaming from the sun is illuminating golden rays. Overheating my body, melting slowly my heart made of soy wax away. My only wish was to be embraced. I've cried to you a river of no return filled with tears fetched from the well of my soul. Weeping and crying out like Hades' mourning pool of miserable souls. This is how I feel. Heartbroken like the quivering emotions of Calypso when she lost Odysseus by his destiny across the seas. Leaving the lovely maiden Isolated and lonely as sadness seduces the goddess to desperately execute her own, but not even death itself could take away her throne.

    'where I was bold enough
    to kiss you innocently'
    a great, emotive poem
inspired me to try and word
a little poetic reply of my own
    thank you! dear Poet
    (Athena, weaves
    and we dance, off-beat
    all left foot, first
    not knowing, what twist
    she'll add, 'to spice up'
    our lives.;
    and, we dance
    beneath fate's tears
no umbrellas, or gene and debbie happy endings
    just regret, all the way
    from our so-called, god's
    and that seemingly blind, universe
    to us, dots
    on existence's radar
    meek, dots
    with heart's, glowing crimson
    bruises, blazing
    glowing, Proud
for we loved and were loved
    once
and hope to love again, someday...
but what a costly bill, it all comes with
    in those mists of hindsight's
    self-accusatory pulsing, thorns...)
