Bad Dream

Robert Isaacs Chiwala

You made me sleep by the night

In the morning hoping to see your face

Tipped by the sky you had already gone

In the morning sullen clouds looked so fierce

Rain from above surely started falling

Only voices you had left with me

That kept me haunted

The beautiful images you had left with me

Thought it was not hallucinations at all

I saw your hand fondling my face

Such uncontrollable giggles you made

When I woke up

You were not there you had already gone

My eyes flooded with tears of sorrow

Remembering you had take our kid with you

Only voices you had left with me

That kept me haunted

The beautiful images you had left with me

Thought it was not hallucinations at all

Trying to feel your empty space

Realised you are still here with me
