silly us

mary.soft

white lies

deep cuts

silly jokes

at my expenses

white floors

covered with misguided footsteps

silly us

never reaching for breaks

broken promises

healed with kisses

white was all

we ever wanted

silly reds

were what we have gotten

broken walls

nowhere to hide

neverending fights

on everlasting shattered glass

The juxtaposition of the color white with hurtful experiences is so very clever, and adds a wonderful dimension to this poem. Beautifully penned dear poetess.
