Keep On Denying

Jessi

Tell me…

Why do we keep going like this?

Living in this awful bliss?

Can’t you see there’s so much wrong?

This life won’t go on for long…

Can’t you see the world is dying?

You keep denying…

That fires keep increasing,

Turning nature grey,

Once it was a beautiful bay.

Destroying fields,

Destroying homes,

No life to be found in woods.

Glaciers melting,

Oceans rising.

Floods are coming.

Homes keep going.

Rivers sinking,

Life is dying…

We,

Keep on denying…

Tell me…

Why do we keep going this far,

Isn’t there enough war?

We want peace,

No bad things please…

We keep on killing,

We keep on dying,

And still we’re all denying…

Loosing homes,

In shooting storms.

Loosing family,

Nothing will help, not a single form of remedy.

Keep on denying…

Can you tell me what you preach?

All these good is far out of reach.

Can’t you see we keep on destroying?

Gods given things,

We keep on toying.

Is it worth to kill the earth?

Is it worth to kill each other?

Can’t we just give love to one another?

You wanna feel good,

You wanna feel happy.

You wanna feel all these things to get lucky.

So why keep on causing bad,

In a world that’s turning sad…

Can’t you see it’s already too far?

We need to flee.

In the future there’s just red.

Dark colors that spread bad.

We can’t breath,

We can’t live.

So do something,

Not only preach.

Don’t keep denying.

Look up,

Stop dying….
