Better Days

Robert Isaacs Chiwala

Better days are coming

Days we shall be smiling

No more fighting and crying

Happily living together as one

Leaning on other's shoulder

Extending a hand to a friend

To rise up from the ground

Giving a lift when in need

We shall hang together up the street

Talking of some sweet tales

We had reserved in our heart

For all this while; such a muse

We shall walk side by side

In a graceful walk holding hands

Taking few steps then a pause

Swinging the grip followed by giggles

Then pulling you close

Face to face smiling

The other hand around your waist

Holding for a moment feeling the warmth
