Hangover

Masking

Could you make me a drink with your words,

Make it hurt like whiskey,
But make it the truth.
Make it sweet like wine,
But make it easy.
Shake me up inside,
But when the morning comes,
Don't leave me like the hangovers.

Make it pulse inside my head,
But make it your voice.
Make it keep me from waking,
But make me dream'a you.
Stir me up inside,
But when the morning comes,
Don't leave me like the hangovers.

Could you make me a drink with your words,
Could you help me I'm all dried up.
Could you make me a drink with your words,
Cause you see I'm all dried up.

Make it long enough to stay,
But never let it leave.
Make it the high I hear about,
But don't let me down.
Lift me up inside,
But when the morning comes,
Don't leave me like the hangovers.

Make it sink me into my chair,
But make me feel alive.
Make it so your next to me,
But make it room for two.
Call me in the night,
Don't leave me lonely like hangovers.

Call me as if I were dying,
From a hangover.
