Broken Into Half

Robert Isaacs Chiwala

Like Siamese twins

We shared the heart

We were perfectly together

Sharing every beat

Happily stuck together

We became close friends

The love bound us together

We became one body

We walked together

We were happy together

We cried together

Everything we shared together

Until the envious friends

Thought to separate us

Forcing us apart

Our heart torn in half

The pain arrived in

Carrying away our love

That perfectly fitted us together

Our love died the moment our heart broke

We are no longer friends

We became enemies

We don't talk

We are now strangers
