Disappearing Act - Destiny Langston

Destinyxo

Why have you forsaken me, my happiness? And where have you gone in your abrupt departure? It is not your absence that leaves my heart heavy, but rather your seemingly lack of care towards me at all. Am I not worthy of your time? Have I offended you in such a way you won’t return? Maybe I do not welcome you after you’ve been gone for so long. Maybe I am fine without you. I can still paint a smile on my face. I can laugh a boisterous laugh. I can dance to the music that surrounds me. I may not be whole without you, but I have lived this life just fine as a half.
