Duet

Fay Slimm.

Duet.

I shall remember
this silver-sheened treble of streamside
sweet songster trills
coupled with pebbly ripples describing
recondite meeting
in darkling-deep shadow of melodious
symphonics with
brilliant white, pinned-to-sky myriads
of starry-eyed
listeners set on winking stellar applause
for singing in concord
as liquid joins bird in dulcet duet under
night's dense cover.

I try to write but
pen has to cease as moon, head in mist
of covert cloudlets
peeps out on a nightingale's drenching
of resounding air
with water-lapped choral song that my
verse wishes to share.

ee by eck, there yu are again gal in ya wellies capturin the rarest sounds of nature and how well your dedication pays off once again.

Once again Fay it's a pleasure to relax with your words and feel the damp coolness as i picture the moonlit scene and audition rare beauty.

An air of peace is present whenever i read your poetic insights into natures beauties.

      • Fay Slimm.

You are more than kind to my poetic efforts dear D, - -- am delighted you conjured up me in my wellies under a starry sky with a rare nightingale - --- and there or not if the read leaves you with an air of peace what more could I ever want - - thank you indeed for your lovely comment.

"Bird song and ripples" appearing tonight "in concord" at your local pub. This dynamic duo of feathery lightness and rock-solid bass will play favorites from their latest album entitled, "Melodious Symphonics." Tickets on sale now. LOL.
A lovely tribute to the music of Mother Nature, and itself very "dulcet." Reading this I could hear the tonal impressions. - Phil A.

A so clever reconstruction of phrases usedin the verse Phil - - still smiling at your opening lines - hope the tickets got sold out to that night of Melodious Symphonics.
