I KNow You

      I Know You

Some say there’s nothing special about

watching the waves pound the shore,

or any gold at the end of the rainbow.

Some say there’s no song in the wind,

or any romance in a full moon rising over the ocean.

Some say there’s no beauty in the clouds,

and no sound in the trees.

Some say there’s no joy in watching the

summer wheat sway in the fields,

or any splendor in the sight of wild horses

playing along the hilltop.

Some say there’s nothing exceptional about

the greenness of the leaves.

or any groaning in tree limbs

when the wind blows through them.

Some say there’s no shapes in the clouds,

or any smell of fresh cut grass.

Some say there’s nothing sexy about

A short, tender kiss so soft that it just is felt.

I know better. I know you.
