Nobody's Perfect

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

Nobody's perfect, this we have to accept
We all have flaws
We'd rather shove in draws
Try to neglect
Who's Facebook page are you trying to inspect?
People's lives aren't always how they portray them to be
Pretend to be happy online
But sad in real life
An unhappy and broken relationship
But you all set to become a Wife
Sitting on your phone
For every notification a ringtone
I'm not perfect myself
We all need some help
I try to be better everyday
Naivity creeps in
That's why I write this way
I could write a thousand poems
About all on Earth being right
But we all know that isn't true
On the streets junkie's wanna fight
Mental health cases rising
Warmongers surmising
Kid's starving day and night
I don't live in a bubble
I think about all that's not alright
Maybe that will be my downfall
Thinking deep on people's plight
