As She Spun

F.B.R

I watched her as she spun

In a garden full of daisies

With a few thorny roses

And a ribbon running lose in her hair

I watched her as she spun

In her navy blue dress

With golden locks, dancing

And a ribbon running loose in her hair

I watched her as she spun

In euphoria she was

With relaxation on her face

And a ribbon running loose in her hair

I watched her as she spun

Knowing well I couldn't be with her

As my darkness would erase her light

And a ribbon running loose in her hair

  • Comment from author about the poem: This poem is about how people living happily experience joyful things and don't care about minor disturbances, just like the girl who was spinning in a garden full of daisies with a few thorny roses and didn't care about the ribbon running loose in her hair. On the other hand, people who live sadly experience darkness and notice negativity, and never advance from their dark place, just like the speaker in the poem who noticed even the thorny roses in a garden filled with daisies and her ribbon and didn't think positively about how they could get out of darkness to be with the girl.
