Tune: Marching
(one tune to 'Father, hear the prayer we offer')
*********
Christ says, I am with you always
Through your living, nights and days
Will never us leave or forsake
For His sheep He does us take
Constant presence, calm and guiding
Giving wisdom in each thing
Sos supported, never alone
Saviour for us does atone
Present with us by His Spirit
In our hearts, illumined, lit
By Him, the Light of the world true
By eye of faith Him we view
Kings of Kings pleased with us to dwell
His gracious mercies we tell
Yet also omnipresent He
Reigns o'er all eternally

- Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 8.7.8.7 format. Some tributes for the Quenn mention her 'comforting presence'. 'Comfort' can be in the sense of 'solacing' or 'strengthening' or both. We won't 'sort God out' at the Last Judgement' as some may think or wish to do. As King of Kings we will fall at his feet and worship Him.
