A love of all seasons

aconfusedgirl

A love of all seasons.

she was my autumn leaves.

my winter fireplace.

my spring breeze

and my summer night

but she wasn’t mine.

Her actions timid, open and kind

Her face loving, her eyes caring

She was my treasure

But she wasn’t mine to find

Hair like clouds

Mind like fresh rain

Driven like strong waves

But she wasn’t perfect

She was stubborn with diligence

Anxious with society

Infuriated with life

She was human.

My human.

perfections and imperfections

These are what made my Victoria

My dear Victoria

You are all my months days and seconds

And my sole euphoria

In my dreams I call you mine

You held my hand

We embraced

Yet I wake to a dull moonshine

Everything bland

And misplaced

Reality is a cruel ache

So my victoria,

I’ll stay in my dreams

Even if I never wake

As you are my autumn leaves,

my winter fireplace,

my spring breeze,

my summer night.
