The things we promise
When we are joined together
In moments of ecstasy
Mean nothing in the cold light of day
In that glimmer of time
I am yours and you are mine
But when the sun slithers and creeps through the window
Invading our haven and bursting our bubble
My true self awakens and I know
We are temporary

Like your poem and your comment! 🙂
Thanks very much. I just checked out Spine Crime. Love it!
You are so kind! Thanks.
😢 sad harrowingly
Self preservation I’m afraid. I’m not as fearless as your words imply you are when it comes to love. Doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy the ride 😊
Words can paint a false picture dearie 😉
I am touched by this and so relate to it
Thank you very much
You're welcome. Definitely can't wait to see the rest of your collection
I took this to apply to more than relationships or people and seems more true than most would like to believe.
Yes. Everything is temporary
