Heartbreaker

Mr. Not

You and me are alike like two drops of water
At least if you dare ask him
I usually play a disk you sang for me
Until I fall asleep in your lap

before I couldn't see anything and all I saw disappeared
But now I see everything you see
On my finger I've got your ring and on the ring it just says
That you're my heartbreaker

Wonder if you exist out there now
If I send you my thoughts do you feel them?
send me a hint and you'll get

Even if he doesn't tell much and the memories are few
There are things he never can take from me
Like when we ran over the plantation I hid in hay
You counted to a hundred I know that you peeked

Wonder if you exist out there now
If i send you my thoughts do you feel them?
Send me a hint and you'll get
I water my plants and tend to my crops
Seconds tick, minutes pass
And it's been days and it's been years
And the ones who live will see

Maybe you don't exist anymore
Maybe there's hope
Maybe you don't think about me either

But I wait for the day were out walking
You bend down and i stand on my toes
Wonder if you don't exist out there
If I send you my thoughts do you feel them?
Send me a hint and you'll get
I water my plants and tend to my crops
Seconds tick, minutes pass
And it's been days and it's been years
And the ones who live will see

You are my heartbreaker
Heartbreaker
You are my hearbreaker

  • Comment from author about the poem: this is not my poem, it's my translation of my favorite song. I don't even know if I can post this here but I want to because i think the lyric is beautiful, its poetic and just so idk how to explain it. due to it being Norwegian the translation makes it a little worse and because there are some words in the lyric which are local to the vocalist so i dont understand them like i dont have the slightest idea what "bange de eg sår" means like what does bange mean? who knows
