A Hope, a Dream, a Wish

darknessandlight

Love and acceptance that's unconditional and never shuns

As refreshing as a desert oasis waiting to be fell into

More chaste and pure than a thousand pious nuns

A soothing balm that envelopes and heals anew

With the warmth and glow of a million suns

A paradise nothing can compare to

An embrace that radiates safety and security

Like warm hearth against winters bitter bite

Comforting like a patchwork quilt, inviting and cozy

Soft and familiar like the teddy bear snuggled tight

As protective as the sheltered cove against the stormy sea

A reassurance that everything will be alright

Wishing that these hopes and dreams will coalesce;

Into the piece, that completes the puzzle that is me

A divine and soul-igniting experience

Like the many hues sunset over the sea

Love so captivatingly pure and radiantly intense;

The only description cosmically beautiful and heavenly

Alas, it is only a hope, a dream, a wish

      This poem is so beautifully phrased dear friend. I love to read aloud and this piece certainly comes to life as I do. So many wonderful things have been built on hopes, dreams and wishes, keep them alive and pursue them.

        Thank you, my friend, that is high praise in my book and I greatly appreciate it. Sometimes it is difficult but I strive every day to keep them alive so I can pursue them.
