everything is not blue

poodle77

his eyes might be blue,

and his hair might be blonde,

but i don’t see that when I look at him.

i see oranges.

i see the prettiest sunset of my life.

with all the colors finding each other,

like our hands always do.

i see purples and reds

exploding around him

in a firework aura,

like they did that one labor day weekend.

the colors surrounding him

depict the way my heart beats

when his eyes meet mine.

they might both be blue

but our yellows are each other.

the sun in our sky,

and the flowers in our field.
