Consequential

darknessandlight

Everyone caught living in daydreams and fantasy

Ever lost in worlds of sunshine and rainbows

Trying forever to escape reality

All because the real world blows

Looking to their futures with dewy-eyed expectancy

Ever believing they will be scooped from the narrows

The ignorance of it is just plain lunacy

Never truly noticing what follows

Until the cold embrace is felt in all its intimacy

And Death brings them to her silent hollows
