Diving Into a Book

Leona Arnold

From the second I open the cover
I know that I unlocked a whole lot of wonder
But to be aware there could be a scare
Or maybe the most fair
Lady that falls in love
Or the glove
That holds a mystery
Or the way things went down in history
Still it's all the same
And I knew it when I came
That I would dive into pain, thought, or emotion
Not having a notion
Of what was in store for the reader
I like to imagine it like I'm at the theater
On the edge of my seat
Oh! The anticipation! I'm almost on my feet!
I just love the feeling of taking a look
At a world inside of a sublime book
The feeling of astonishing was never failed
Once the cover was opened and all was unveiled
