When all seems lost and hope is gone
What greater time to for you
While others shrink and run from faith
What if you could stay true?
What if in spite of pain and loss
You keep progressing on?
When failure can not conquer you,
What else could be so strong?
Within resides a power which
We all alone must take
Don’t think it is conditional
Upon another’s sake
The mind is capable beyond
What we would ever know
Embrace that unknown power
Then true beauty you will know
But what of those who’ve been ignored
Been blamed for what is not?
How can the heart find healing once
Her rhythm’s been forgot?
True healing comes in two true forms
So listen carefully
Another’s care can seal your wounds
Yet some wounds run too deep
When no one comes to rescue you
If even not yourself
When darkness jaws enclose on you
And all seems lost in hell
There is a simple formula
A way to overcome
A passion in your DNA
I’ll tell you where it’s from
To heal yourself to heal the world
Might be the only way
Untapped compassion’s trapped within
Even the darkest cave
For souls unseen are lost with you
Their hearts have been betrayed
They lie within life’s lost and found
The one nobody claims
While others pass them by and point
And laugh at their demise
It's likely that within their shoes
They wouldn't last a night
They tell sweet lies to help them sleep
Say credit is their own
Yet those of us who’ve seen both sides
Know fortune’s mind’s her own
The hardest, smartest, well deserved
Can fall from grace and break
Our world believes in judging not
Yet judgements they may make
The rich may gloat and wonder why
The fallen will not rise
They can not walk in fallen shoes
Their feet are oversized
Consider those who’ve given all
To carry out their cause
The soldiers who would die for truth
Or mother’s lives on pause
When nobody is there for you
Such purpose you can find
For somewhere there's a lost and found
Where others share your mind
Go find your lost like-minded kin
A hero they will need
Their energy will summon you
An esoteric steed
You’ll find your healing in addressing
Their forgotten needs
For souls unclean and in between
Need only to be seen
