In Love with the Moon

Esteven

I am in love with the moon,

I dream at night, at noon,

She is a sparkle in the sky,

Her reflection is a sparkle in my eye,

She dwells among  jealous stars,

For no light is brighter than hers,

And the stars I see are many

But I am hardly looking at any,

For her light shines in my deep,

In my heart, the love I keep,

But looking at her from down on earth,

I feel her love I am not worth,

I am just a stalker in the night,

A shadow that seizes to be sight,

My wish is a magic ladder to climb

And be together all the time,

My heart competes with others above,

A struggle, all in the name of love.

That's lovely, I love how the moon can be an allegory for someone unreachable, someone so great that our love feels small in comparisation. Great work!
