to dear friend

skpearl

and if I died tonight
what did I mean to you?
would you spend your day
doing what you usually do
or would you buy me flowers
and say a few words?
would you go for a walk
and search for growing storms?
we used to love the walks
and laying down on earth
waiting for storm to rage
and the world to end
we would buy some beer
and smoke some cigarettes
tell never-ending stories
and wait till the sun sets
now I'm laying on my bed
not knowing if you're there
but if I died tonight
would you actually care?

Sometimes friendships just fizzle out, no rhyme or reason, just consternation.

    • skpearl

Exactly, sometimes it just falls apart and it's totally natural. Thank you for reading!

god? this is so good? I love it so so much. Every line and word felt on point and right where it had to be. I think this is my favorite part:

“we used to love the walks
        and laying down on earth
        waiting for storm to rage
        and the world to end”

You’re amazing!! Thank you for sharing!
