Tonight the Sky has Eyes

Esteven

The sky watches from above,

It stares at the one I love,

I am staring at her twinkling eyes,

Prettier than the twinkling in the skies,

White dress reflects the moon's light,

Tonight she shines the most bright,

I remember sweeping her off her feet,

When sweet fate made us meet,

Most men desire for life long

But as we dance to this song,

My greatest desire is an hour,

Even just an hour with my flower,

Slow steps on the moonlit grass,

We imagine the stars applauding us,

It's cold! The outside is cold

But warm the love we hold,

Quite soon it will be dawn,

The bright moon will be gone,

Our hearts light like feather,

For it is our last night moon together,

I hope to see the light of day,

Before the westerlies take her away.
