My Big Sister

TheDarkQueen

Congratulations big sister,

Your ready to go,

But before you leave to go out on your own,

There is something you need to know.

I love you so much,

Everyday my love grows stronger,

You'll always be my first big sister,

(Although I'm one inch taller.)

I wish you could stay,

But I know that you can't,

It's time to go and fly big sister,

Take off with the wind.

There is so much I have to say,

And not enough time to tell you,

But I just hope that you know big sister,

That more often than not,

You turn my gray skies blue.

No matter what people tell me,

Their cruel words will never suffice,

To make me turn away,

Because your my hero big sister,

Even if you don't realize.

Touching poem, expressed honest feelings of love explicitly for your sister and it makes the poem even more special....I know she's proud to have you as her little sister

Big sister flying the coop, but as she does, you remind her, one inch is paramount and no amount of stretching on your behalf will change this.
