I've felt

Vonna

I've read many poems throughout my lifetime

I eventually became to be a lover of them and became a poet

As I've read various genres of poems I started to feel

I've felt what they felt I began to see what they've seen

Closing my eyes and imagining what they were saying and applying the words with imagery in my mind

The words that left from the paper lingered in my mind like tales as old as time

I've felt what they've felt due to immersing myself in the poem

Putting myself in their shoes I began to feel

I've felt what they felt even the pain and sorrow that they wrote down so freely to share with others

I've felt the happiness and joy and everything they recited in the poem

I've felt every emotion that the author was trying to convey

Because of this I can say that I've felt

  • Comment from author about the poem: When I try to interpret the message that the poet was trying to tell I begin to get inspired by the deeper meanings of the poem.
