Fall

peppino

Fallen leaves are shielding frozen ground

Their colors turning to a hue of death

The naked boughs are quivering in the wind

Waving goodbye to the birds that flee

The air is chilly and the sunrays subdued

Foreboding the onset of blinding snow

My mind begins to dread the dreary dark

My hearts dreams of golden daffodils
