Just One Great Thing

ForeverJesus7

All I ever wanted,

was to do something great.

... something righteous,

before it's to late.

Whether it be now,

or one last stand,

I never people,

to think I ran.

It can be jumping into,

a burning building,

or feeding someone,

that is about to die.

All I want,

is to do one thing great,

with no fear on my mind.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I know that it is not our works that will get us into Heaven. Rather, it is our Salvation. Still, even though we all fall short of Christ's glory sometimes, it is still good to do righteous works; to help others. Persistence is key

I dunno about running into a burning building - maybe if it was our own spouse or child in there. Yes, the goods works following salvation.
