Greeting Cards

Lord Montgomery

The simple joy that one can find

In writing on a card from time to time

As my heart gets poured out

And the fancy pen I use leaves a stain when closed

Its hard to wonder if this tradition will remain the same

As our world becomes ever more digital

Can I express thought freely with a signal?

Will the Hallmark shop I found randomly in an obscure place withstand this digital revolt?

Or will the death of retail

Lead to the death of writing

Yet still I am here blowing on inky flicks and writing quirks

I'd say cards will go down fighting!

Which will go first? The Hallmark shop or my cramped hand reduced to pigeon scratchings? The keyboard, the keyboard - gimme the keyboard, m'lord.

Would we say cramped hand or cramped paw?

No, we won't. My picture/avatar is believe it or not is only coincidentally a dog - it's more essential features are a wink and licking chops. I'm Dave....are you Montgomery or Monty or....? LOL
