Amidst my fears

martie borthwick

Here I stood

With all that life left me with

Insecurities became my enemy

And made my flaws run away,

Scars came with all of it

Amidst my fears

We are just being flawed along

With fears

With every step we gave,

In life

  • Comment from author about the poem: Sometimes we as human, are so flawed and full of scars we don't want to turn the mirror to the inside and reflect what are truly broken. For me, it is just that amidst my fears shows us that with all that along came fear, but amidst that is exactly what shows us to embrace flaws and insecurities and see that we are humans, and it is totally fine.
